Akuapem Poloo Breaks Down Into Tears While Addressing The Media
But, as the old adage goes, “every strong person has a breaking point,” and Ghanaian actress Rosemond Alade Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, may have reached one today when she spoke to the press after spending a day in Nsawam Prisons.
You may recognize her or have seen her on social media as one of Ghana’s most carefree and powerful female celebrities.
An Accra High Court granted the actress bail on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
She was kept in jail, however, after failing to meet the bail conditions on Wednesday and Thursday.
Akuapem Poloo was released after completing the process; part of her bail conditions include reporting to the case investigator every two weeks and depositing her passport with the court’s registrar.
Speaking to the media in Accra today, April 24, 2021, the actress, who was seated with her lawyer and manager and dressed in a long white gown, expressed gratitude to those who had helped her through one of her most difficult times.
The actress couldn’t hold back her tears for about 2 minutes as she tried to point out those people who didn’t turn their backs on her.
It can be recalled that Akuapem Poloo was sentenced to ninety days in prison by an Accra Circuit Court for publishing a nude picture of herself and her son.
On charges of a misdemeanor, domestic assault, and dissemination of obscene content, she was found guilty.
