E.T Mensah Passes Away at 77: NDC Mourns Loss of Former MP

Enoch Teye Mensah, the distinguished former Member of Parliament representing Ningo Prampram, has sadly left us. The vibrant member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) bid farewell to the world at the age of 77 on the evening of October 1, 2023.
His passing occurred in South Africa, where he had been bravely battling illness for an extended period.
ET Mensah, as he was affectionately known – an abbreviation of his first two names, Enoch Teye – had a remarkable career in public service. Not only was he a prominent legislator, but he also took up the role of Minister for Education and Sports on different occasions.
With a background in accounting, he served as an MP from January 1997 until January 2017, when he was defeated in the NDC primaries by the present MP for the region, Sam Nartey George.
In the wake of his departure, ET Mensah leaves behind a grieving widow and seven children, who will undoubtedly cherish his memory forever.
This loss is deeply felt by the National Democratic Congress, which he served with dedication for many years. The legacy of E.T Mensah will endure as a testament to his commitment to his constituency and his unwavering support for the NDC’s values.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.
