Jupitar, a dancehall musician from Ghana, has finally explained why he hasn’t been nominated or received any accolades.
We can all attest that the dancehall musician has been disregarded for a while when it comes to nominations or awards in the Ghanaian music biz.
Jupiter, however, claimed that when it comes to giving musicians in the country awards, the industry hasn’t been fair to him in an interview on Asaase FM.
Jupiter revealed redrawing and saving himself from the stress of submitting songs after his hit song “Enemies” wasn’t nominated at the time for any awards.

He added his music is well acknowledged in a foreign country, and he gets nominations and awards, unlike in his own country Ghana. The dancehall artiste also pinpoint some of the problems that might be leading to why he has been overlooked for a while now.
According to him, he’s not cool and close to most of the industry plays and although he submits songs to the various award schemes has led to no outcome.
Jupiter also mentions that following up on some of these things may seem like the artiste is begging for favours while the organiser should recognise hard work and support.
