Ghanaians are being urged by Dan Botwe, the minister for local government and rural development, to express their thanks for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-leadership Addo’s through times of national crises.
He asserts that Ghana would be in a terrible situation right now if the National Democratic Congress had presided over the global crisis (NDC).

Speaking on OKAY FM in Accra, Dan Botwe said:
“We are in an extraordinary situation and I can dare say that we should be thankful to God that President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia are in power.
If all of these happened under the NDC, Ghanaians would have been queuing to buy fuel. I agree that we are in hard times but had it not been for the good policies laid down, the situation would have been worse,” he said.
Dan Botwe urged Ghanaians to reject the illusion that the global financial crisis has no bearing on their country’s economy. He claimed that Ghana is having difficulties since some of these issues directly affect it because it depends on imports from those nations.
