Your Safety Is Guaranteed And Secured – IGP To Ghanaians And Other Nationals

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr.James Oppong-Boanuh has reaffirmed his commitment to the Ghana Police Service to ensure the safety of Ghanaians and other foreigners in the country.
He revealed that it is for this reason the service has recently increased security measures aimed at taking a step ahead of criminal gangs in the country to ensure that residents carry out their duties without fear or intimidation.
Addressing a meeting of bosses to people of Asikasu No.1, a farming community in the Dorma Municipality of the Bono Region during a lawn mowing ceremony for the construction of an ultra-modern police station, the Police. The chief pointed out that the various strategies will be effective if only staff demonstrate professionalism.
The police should not be regarded as your enemy, but rather, a partner in a common promote the consolidation of peace and security, and also promote social cohesion.
“I want to assure you that the GPS is determined to secure peace and guarantee
the safety of all citizens and foreign nationals residing in the country. In this sense, a number of specific operating strategies have been launched.
We will continue to intensify day and night patrols, quick checks, swoops guided by intelligence, highway and residential patrols, motorized traffic control strategies, community participation, and security awareness workshops.
